Generic ETL Install: Elements
Classes of Computers
DataSelf Server, Cloud Server (a.k.a VM?). Hosts DW. “Hybrid”?
Client (On-prem) computer hosting ETL+ and DW – any computer managed by client. Can be a private cloud.
Secondary on-prem/client computer. Can be a laptop or desktop computer.
Hosts ETL+ and possibly a data source (DB, CSV, Excel, etc). Usually a custom data source.

Types of On-Prem Data Warehouse
On-prem DWs can be
1. a MSSS database on the same computer
2. on another server on 'on-prem'/clients network
3. on a private cloud (any server run by a third party that the client contracts with)
