GI (Generic Inquiry) Deployment - DataSelf Analytics for Acumatica

Important

Only people properly trained in Acumatica should make changes to its settings. Please consult with Acumatica certified consultant when uploading GIs to Acumatica.  

After the GIs are installed, set their security according to Acumatica Rights by Role for Generic Inquiries.

Customized Package (CP) with DataSelf GIs Download Link

• DataSelf_GIs_CP_2019R1_and_Newer.zip: this Customized Package can be uplodaded to Acumatica versions 2019 R1 and newer.
  IMPORTANT: After the publishing process is complete, select only the Customization Project from DataSelf and click the "X" to delete the row.  This step will leave behind the Generic Inquiries imported by the project, but remove the Customization Project to prevent future overwrites of any customizations made to the individual DataSelf GI's.

How to Upload the Customized Package to your Acumatica:

1. Download the customization project above to your local hard drive.  You do not need to unzip it.
2. Log onto your Acumatica tenant and:
   1. Go to More Items → Configuration → Customization → Customization Projects
   2. Click Import → Choose File → pick the Customization Project file above → Open → Upload.

   3. Select the Customization Project from the list and click Publish. A window will pop up with any warnings.  Click Publish.

   4. IMPORTANT: After the publishing process is complete, select only the Customization Project from DataSelf and click the "X" to delete the row.  This step will leave behind the Generic Inquiries imported by the project, but remove the Customization Project to prevent future overwrites of any customizations made to the individual DataSelf GI's.
3.  Set security for the new GI's according to the instructions at Acumatica Rights by Role for Generic Inquiries.
